Planes and Time

Man working on plane

I love flying. Not because of the cramped seats or the hassles that go along with travel, but the actual flying time in the air. I find it to be the most productive time I ever have.

As I look around on my cross-country flight, I see that most people are either watching TV or sleeping. I have been on my computer since we reached 10,000 feet. I have dealt with vendors, employee issues, cleaned out my email, and chatted with my family.

On any four-hour flight, I get the equivalent of six-hours worth of work done. Flights are free from the daily office distractions like the office pop-in, coffee breaks, impromptu meetings, and other distractions.

Today, think of ways you can remove the distractions and increase your overall productivity.
